Original Melting Pops™
by BETSY ENZENSBERGER
These are one-of-a-kind, hand-sculpted pieces.
Each sculpture is signed, and dated on bottom.
ONLY ONE AVAILABLE
Ingredients: Brown Crystal Onyx, Bronze
Recipe: Brown Crystal Onyx has a warm glow with parallel bands of contrasting color, such as creamy white or lighter caramel tones. This type of Onyx is often associated with grounding, protection, and strength. It's believed to promote self-control, confidence, and focus, while also helping to reduce stress and anxiety. In spiritual contexts, it's used to balance energies.
Snow White Onyx is a luminous white stone with beige or grey veining. It is often associated with purity, clarity, and new beginnings. It is believed to promote positive energy, emotional healing, and optimism. You'll see Snow White onyx used in meditation practices to create a peaceful atmosphere.
Did you know that Onyx has translucence? It allows light to pass through it and creating a glowing effect when backlit, highlighting the unique patterns within the stone.
Each piece is hand sculpted using natural materials. Imperfections are not only expected, but are celebrated.

Betsy Enzensberger founded the Original Melting Pops™ in 2016. She specializes in creating larger-than-life resin art works, sculpting a variety of ice cream art, most notably melting popsicle pop art. Her shape stays true to the ice cream, yet the design elements continue to evolve.
Betsy Enzensberger is a Southern California-based pop artist who is known for her whimsical resin sculptures. Her flagship Original Melting Pops™ series has had international recognition and acclaim. She has exhibited with galleries domestically in Los Angeles, Miami, Des Moines, Dallas, Charlotte, and New York, and internationally in Hong Kong, London, Stockholm, Belgium, Hamburg, Singapore, and Byron Bay. Her current public installations can be viewed at Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, several ships within the Royal Caribbean cruise line fleet, and the Delta Sky Club at Los Angeles International Airport. I have always been inspired by the universal recognition of the frozen treats that bring joy to people worldwide. The sizes, shapes, and flavors of these treats vary depending on culture, but they bring smiles to people just the same. It is my intention to spark joy and inspire nostalgia by utilizing the unifying form of the ice pop. If I can connect with someone across the world over a simple thing like an ice pop, then I feel like I have created a sense of unity and positive connection. Why are they melting? This element begs for the sculptures to be rescued. Once saved from impending doom, the sculpture is then coveted in its partially melted form. The perfectly imperfect half melted sculpture is the epitome of the series title “Tragically Sweet.”As a medium, resin has allowed me to bring life to my sculptures with a juxtaposition of rich colors, textures, opacity, and translucency. However, in recent months I made the difficult decision to remove resins from my practice. These materials are extremely toxic to work with and my health is now my priority. So, moving forward I will continue to work in various stones and bronze, which I've already begun to master.Born and raised in New York, Betsy graduated from Tulane University’s fine arts program and apprenticed with the renowned sculptor Eric Johnson in Los Angeles. She now resides and creates in Palm Springs, CA.
